SOMETHING ABOUT ME In addition to being a certified coach, I am an attorney, a manager, a facilitator, an event planner, an ecologist, a researcher, an activist, a writer, and a mother, among other things. I have a strong 30 year background in healing, alternative health care, mind/body practices, personal growth work and Buddhist meditation, and bring a gentle psycho-spiritual approach to my understanding about how change and growth occurs. I bring all of my training, life experience and varied skills and talents to my coaching. I have traveled extensively and lived abroad. I have run my own business, lead organizations, designed and managed campaigns and directed large international programs. I have worked in the public, non-profit and private sectors, as well as academia and the media. I am passionate about the arts. I am both on the board of advisors and work with Second Step, a transition program for women and children escaping domestic violence. I provide mentoring to the University of the Wild, an Earth-based higher education program. And I am co-founder of the Center for Reflective Practices in International Development. I have a great passion for working with people who dream big, have a strong desire to grow, and feel a calling for some larger purpose in life. I believe in the power of love, compassion, forgiveness and kindness. I believe none of us can solve the world's problems alone and all of us can contribute in some way to a better world, and that our children are worth that effort.
